I'm submitting a bug fix.
If you follow tutorial on https://angular.io/guide/aot-compiler#compile-with-aot , you will get an exception
TypeError: this.compiler.analyzeModulesAsync is not a functionexecuting this command:node_modules/.bin/ngc -p tsconfig-aot.jsonSo problem is solved by updating angular packages to the same version as
@angular/compiler-cli @angular/platform-server
