@amihaiemil as I understand Images.importImage should be implemented here.
But I guess that parameters of this method should be changed to something like this:

Images.importImage(InputStream source, String repo)

or

Images.importImage(Path source, String repo)

URL as a source is some kind of special case, and it also not clear in this case what to do with authorization which can be required to access this URL.
