While building a website for a church I started searching for a plugin that would show a daily KJV Bible reading plan on the site. I also thought it would be great if it also included a widget that would show a snippet of the daily passage and then link to the full reading page. I could not find what I was looking for so I started the endeavor of developing one myself. Now I am distributing my own daily Bible reading plugin. Please use freely and modify to fit your needs. If you have recommendations I would love to hear them.
##INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Please use the link below to obtain your copy of the plugin, then simply upload to your WordPress site via Plugins Upload and active.
##SETTING UP FOR USE
Setting up to use this plugin is very simple. First create a new page in your WordPress site, then add the shortcode [amd_bible_daily] to turn the page into the actual reading plan. Next choose which sidebar or widget area you want the snippet to be and install the widget and set the few options to your choosing. Be sure to select the page you created for the full reading plan to show the link to continue reading.
