[BUG] Electron app in Linux is VERY slow

Current Behavior

Electron app in Linux is VERY slow. The entire UI renders around 4fps. When I resize the window, or open and close dialogs the CPU usage spikes way up. What's this all about?

Expected Behavior

I'd expect the app UI to update at a reasonable rate, and not consume large amounts of CPU.

Steps To Reproduce

1. Install Altair desktop in a Linux desktop environment.
2. Launch the app
3. Resize the window, and open and close dialogs like the settings panel.

Environment

- Platform: Linux
- Version: Ubuntu 24.04

Yes I did, no effect

This problem is not isolated to Linux. Altair is painfully slow on any platform. Such a great program, but in reality a poor experience due to the poor performance. It gets really bad if a connection is kept alive for more than a few seconds when debugging. This is a problem both in Electron and when running as an extension in Chrome.

@Jemt I'm assuming you're referring to while using subscriptions?

@imolorhe I apologize for the late reply - I have been on vacation.
No, I'm talking about a request that is still running because the server has not yet returned a response due to an active debugging session (e.g. an active breakpoint in XDebug in PHP). I realize that my previous description was a bit confusion since I stated that the connection was kept alive - in reality it has just not returned.
