Description: This project is about building a virtual robotics playground where users can design, train, and test AI-driven robots in simulation. Think of it as a sandbox video game for robotics enthusiasts: you could assemble a robot (pick a chassis, add sensors or arms), drop it into a virtual environment (a maze, a race track, a factory floor, etc.), and then use reinforcement learning (RL) algorithms to teach the robot to perform tasks. The key is that everything happens in software – no physical robot needed – and AI accelerates the learning process. For instance, a user could challenge the robot to learn to navigate a maze; the platform would employ an RL algorithm that makes the robot try different moves and learn from trial and error, eventually figuring out the maze. Users can watch the robot improve over time and even intervene or adjust parameters to see how it affects learning. This provides a hands-on way to learn about robotics and AI. Because it’s simulation-based, it’s fast, safe, and scalable – multiple experiments can run quickly without worrying about real-world damage .
