Installation on shared hosting cannot log in

hello everyone,

I hope you can help. Im trying to install on bog standard shared hosting. Its a great app easily one of the best for brief notes. I want to run it as part of a suite of small apps for academics/similar to use.

I checked all the required php addons. They are all present. The folders defaulted to 0705 permissions for the owner. After a straightforward installation, I can't log in. Im testing on https:// <subdomian.net> directly pointing to the public folder. I ran setup.php and it asks me to log in. After reading the github issues, I tried admin@example.org/12345 (not included in main install instructions). It returns an error. There are no tables in the MariaDB database.

I really want to get this working. Do I need to do anything else? I can access via putty if necessary.

Updating for progress and errors I'm encountering. (NB I use Ionos shared business plan hosting. I can install composer and laravel at and run various stuff.)

I made progress by manually installing composer locally, made sure it was running, then ran artisan followed by the artisan seed command (php artisan migrate:fresh --seed) and populated the database. The user details are in the database (admin@example.org/12345). But, still couldnt log in. I then tried creating a new user via the database and tried to log in using that, no luck. Both logins generate these errors (not always the same two of the three) in the browser console:

I'm digging around in the files but not sure how to remedy this. Also not sure if Im missing other Laravel files because I didn't start this project by installing Laravel, I just unzipped and uploaded the PlainPad files via SFTP. Ive occasionally looked/changed the odd chmod but to be honest when it began to work I think that got changed back to standard settings.

For other users who may be using Ionos web hosting, refer to this page if youre stuck on composer/php versions and using putty (SSH). Also make sure you use 'phpX.XX-cli' instead of 'php' in your SSH commands.
