A user-friendly desktop utility for converting flight data logs between X-Plane, Garmin G1000, and standard FDR formats.
FlightDataConverter is a tool developed by AEON Lab for aviation researchers, pilots, and flight simulation enthusiasts. It addresses the common challenge of working with data from different flight recorders by providing a simple, powerful tool to standardize logs for post-flight analysis, visualization, or replay.
The application provides a simple graphical user interface (GUI) to convert data seamlessly between:
- X-Plane (
.txt) flight data logs - Garmin G1000 (
.csv) flight data logs - Standard Flight Data Recorder (
.fdr) format, compatible with X-Plane replays
Ready-to-use executables for Windows are available, simply download the latest .exe file and run it. No installation is required.
- Select a conversion type from the three sections in the window.
- Click the Browse button to select your input folder containing the flight data.
- Click the Browse button to select the output folder where converted files will be saved.
- Click the Convert button to start the process.
- A message will appear confirming the completion or notifying you of any errors.
