Enable ACDL Integration for html buttons in custom aem components

Hi Team,

In our legacy AEM platform, pure HTML buttons are being used in most of the custom components.
We have a requirement to enable ACDL integration for these pure html buttons embedded in AEM components.
Since these are not separate components, instead are html buttons, we are unable to implement ACDL integration for the same.
Seeking support on this and possible solutions or use-case examples, where this has been solved for.
Is there are way this could be achieved with existing ACDL implementation ? If so, then how?
If not, then what would you recommend as an alternative solution for the same.

AEM version : On prem 6.5
WCM Core components version : 2.22.12
