Security Policy

Educational Purpose

This software (LibreLec) is developed strictly for educational purposes and personal study needs (e.g., using accessibility tools like NotebookLM). It demonstrates browser automation techniques using Playwright.

Disclaimer

  • Use at your own risk. The authors are not responsible for how you use this tool.
  • This tool is designed to facilitate access to materials you already have legal access to (via your university login) but cannot download locally due to technical restrictions.
  • Please respect your institution's Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) and Copyright regulations.
  • The authors are not liable for any account suspensions or academic disciplinary actions resulting from the misuse of this tool.

Reporting Vulnerabilities

This is a student side project. If you find a security vulnerability (e.g., in the dependencies or code execution), please open an issue on the repository.

However, please do not report "this tool allows bypassing DRM" as a security vulnerability. That is the intended function of the research proof-of-concept.

Supported Versions

Only the latest version of the code in this repository is supported.
