zmupdate fails on upgrade from 1.25 to 1.26.4

I'm trying to update zoneminder to version 1.26.4 from iconnor's ppa. When running zmupdate I get this error:

Previous versions of ZoneMinder used the MyISAM database engine.
However, the recommended database engine is InnoDB.

I assume this has something to do with not being able to correctly find /usr/share/zoneminder/db/. Any pointers on how to fix the script?

The path was indeed the problem as running "zmupdate.pl --dir=/usr/share/zoneminder/db/" worked fine.

This was fixed in pull request #200 a while ago.

If I'm reading the pull request right this fix was supposed to be in 1.26.4 but at least the version in iconnor's ppa is still broken.

The fix was included into 1.26.4 a couple days before 1.26.4 reached release status.

Comparing zmupdate.pl in the deb package to zmupdate.pl.in in the 1.26.4 release found here:
https://github.com/ZoneMinder/ZoneMinder/archive/v1.26.4.tar.gz
one can see that the two do not match.

zmupdate.pl in the deb package still references ZM_PATH_BUILD rather than ZM_PATH_DATA. Perhaps the deb package represents 1.26.4 draft rather than 1.26.4 release, but this is only speculation on my part. @connortechnology is the package maintainer and should address this.

I think this may be broken still in the 13.04 PPA repository. I'm upgrading from
http://ppa.launchpad.net/iconnor/zoneminder/ubuntu/dists/raring/

I'm should mention I'm running Kubuntu 13.10 so hopefully that isn't causing other problems.
Using zmupdate.pl --dir=/usr/share/zoneminder/db/ did work to update the database but the package manager is still unhappy.

Zoneminder is not fully compatible with Ubuntu 13.10. I believe it's the version of php. We are aware of the issue and are developing a fix in this branch: https://github.com/ZoneMinder/ZoneMinder/tree/mysql2PDO

Feel free to test it if you are willing and provide feedback.
