This is a companion PowerShell script of an article (in Italian) about automated extraction of images and text from web pages in order to make a custom web report. The PowerShell script basically runs the executable bot (made with Browser Automation Studio or a similar program), openening in the meantime some chosen web pages, waiting for the bot to finish its job. Then the script puts captured images in a slideshow above the extracted text (if present). Each image can be linked to the original site and at the bottom of the page there can be a random image taken from a local folder (like a meme, a memo or something else).
The general purpose is to have a script that automatically produces (mainly thanks to an external automation program) a custom Web Journal that contains the data and the images that the user looks for everyday (or almost so). A sort of "tailored digital newspaper" that can show bookmarked pages, weather forecast, finance news, AI chatbot answers, motivational quotes, cybersecurity update, etc. without the user browsing and clicking these sites one by one.
Questo è uno script PowerShell di accompagnamento (anche con commenti in italiano nella versione "-ITA") a questo articolo sull'estrazione automatizzata di immagini e testo da pagine web, allo scopo di creare un web report personalizzato. Lo script PowerShell lancia un bot eseguibile (fatto con Browser Automation Studio o programmi simili), aprendo nel frattempo alcune pagine a piacere, nell'attesa che il bot finisca il suo lavoro. Poi lo script mette le immagini catturate in uno slideshow sopra il testo prelevato (se presente). Ogni immagine può essere linkata al sito originale e in fondo alla pagina può esserci un'immagine random presa da una cartella locale (come un meme, un promemoria o altro).
Lo scopo generale è disporre di uno script che produca automaticamente (principalmente grazie a programmi esterni di automazione) un giornale web personalizzato che contiene i dati e le immagini che l'utente cerca tutti i giorni (o quasi). Una specie di "quotidiano digitale su misura" che può mostrare pagine dei preferiti, previsioni meteo, news di economia, risposte di chatbot AI, citazioni motivazionali, aggiornamenti di cybersecurity, etc. senza che l'utente debba navigare e cliccare su ognuno di questi siti.
