(Steam) Invite friend Steam overlay cannot be interacted with

Clicking on Invite friend button in matchmaking opens up a Steam overlay which cannot be clicked or closed (Shift-Tab doesn't work, no buttons can be clicked). It's still possible to click on Chobby elements in the background.

Cannot replicate, works for me.. what was your setup? Is it linux or something?

It's Linux, Ubuntu, etc.

If you click shift+tab is it any better? Does it work in other games?

Shift-Tab doesn't work at all (it cannot even be invoked to see the Steam overlay for other purposes).
Shift-Tab works in other games, this issue seems ZK-specific.

Can you shift+tab when no overlay is shown?

I launched the game from the Steam menu. I cannot shift+tab when no overlay is shown.

Hmm this has to be something between spring and steam then..

I am on Linux too. I was able to accept the friend join request on Steam's Big Picture Mode using the requests and accept (it was in a box on top right in the picture, but this shot is after I had accepted). In the lobby, when I tried to click anywhere else when there was a friend's join request visible, it froze the lobby. I also experienced freezes other times with steam overlay things visible.
