No longer recognizes saves

I don't know if you can help me or not, but I had the editor working, sort of. The problem was that it was only showing my original save, not the newer one after playing for a while and copying the more recent save into my JSON folder. So I deleted everything from my JSON folder, added the new save via Save Wizard, and now no saves are showing up when I try to select the file path no matter what I name it (1.sav, 1.json, or just1.) It just says no saves or profiles were found, and I can't even get back to the original screen when I first downloaded the program. Tried uninstalling and re-installing multiple times, and I'm just stuck. Any ideas?

Just wanted to add that after I posted, I tried exporting the save to my JSON folder via save wizard again simply as 1, but I had the file path dialog box in the editor open at the same time, and when I saved the file it appeared inside the file path box for a split second and then disappeared again. It's like the editor thinks it recognizes the save as valid and then changes its mind, as, as weird as that sounds
