getting "no module named customtkinter" error dispite having it installed

So whenever I try to run the koboldcpp.py file I get 2 unexpected errors:

   An unexpected error occurred: [Errno 2] No such file or directory: 'rocminfo' 
   An unexpected error occurred: local variable 'output' referenced before assignment   

However then the Welcome to KoboldCpp message is displayed followed by and error stating that customtkinter isn't there:

But I do have customtkinter installed:

  pip install customtkinter                                                      
  Requirement already satisfied: customtkinter in file-path/.local/share/mise/installs/python/3.13.0/lib/python3.13/site-packages (5.2.2)                     
  Requirement already satisfied: darkdetect in file-path/.local/share/mise/installs/python/3.13.0/lib/python3.13/site-packages (from customtkinter) (0.8.0)   
  Requirement already satisfied: packaging in file-path/.local/share/mise/installs/python/3.13.0/lib/python3.13/site-packages (from customtkinter) (24.2) 

I'm not using any venv btw and my default python version is 3.10.18.

Whats your OS more specifically? Ubuntu, Mint, any specific version?

If its a arch base you often have to pull in the explicit package 'e.g. python-customtkinter from AUR' vs use pip or just manually load it for best results.

Most Debian based systems you can pip normally and have good results (e.g. pip install customtkinter)

Also keep in mind if you entered a build env or something else you can accidentally have a pip module in a space other env might not be able to see. (the glory of linux... you can make a python turducken really easy on accident)

ah mb sorry I didn't mention those, I'm using ubuntu and I tried the pip install customtkinter and it just said it's already installed. I'm not using any virtual environments

also I just tried running it using python3 instead of python and got this instead:

side note: I tried runing this using windows(with the windows release) on the same machine and it worked

I'm having the same issue too on Linux Mint. What's weird is that upon first install(pasting easy install method into terminal) the GUI does load and is functional, but when trying to re-open the program with koboldcpp.py it produces the same error:

I did do pip install customtkinter before installing the app but it didn't seem to make a difference.
