Report Verification
- This report is for a bug with the SA Mod Manager.
- I have checked and verified this issue has not been reported previously.
Bug Description
This is my first time using the SA Mod Manager application, so I'm not sure if this is an application error or if it's a problem on my end because I'm doing something wrong.
As a base, I'm following the guide for the Sonic Adventure 2 Battle Archipelago mod to install it, but when I open Sonic Adventure 2 — either directly from Steam or from the Mod Manager — it shows the SEGA and Sonic Team logos, but after that, it freezes before even loading the game.
I have installed Microsoft Windows Desktop Runtime 8.0.15 x86, I installed the mod, and at the end, I used the option to copy the APCpp.dll file (there’s a batch file for this), but after doing that, the issue I described happened.
Afterwards, I did several tests, including installing other mods, but the same thing happened, which made me suspect it could be an issue with the Mod Manager itself. To be sure, I even tried launching the game without any mods enabled, but the same error occurred.
The only solution I found to at least be able to play Sonic Adventure 2 without mods was to uninstall the Mod Loader using the option provided by the application.
If you could help me understand what might be causing this, I would really appreciate it.
I’m also attaching an image showing the point at which the game freezes.
If you need any other images, please let me know.
Thank you very much, and sorry for the inconvenience.
Best regards.
