[6.6 HelpHub]: Settings sidebar in the site editor #1667

New page for 6.6

  • Create a new article to describe available functionnalities on the settings sidebar for Navigation, Pages, Templates and Patterns
  • Make sure the URL slug under Permalink is: site-editor-settings-sidebar

Update for 6.6

  • Navigation: rename, move on trash / last modification
  • Pages: view, rename, move on trash / set featured image / stats / last modification / modify status, publication date, slug, author, template (edit, change, create and show) / open or close comments / see revisions / modify parent and order
  • Templates: rename, delete / last modification / revisions / areas - For index or home page template: number of posts / open or close comments
  • Patterns: duplicate, rename, export as JSON, delete / add description / stats / last modification / revisions / status of sync / Categories

General

  • Make sure all screenshots are relevant to the latest version
  • Make sure videos, if any, are up to date
  • Add ALT tags for the images
  • Make sure the headings are in sentence case
  • Convert all reusable blocks to a ‘regular block’.
  • Update the changelog at the end of the article

Notes

  1. We are not adding detailed updates for the Block settings - Typography, Color, Layout, Dimension and Border and for the More Options setting in the block toolbar. Pls mention the settings included for the block and link to the detailed settings pages instead.
  2. Some of the PRs have great videos that can be added to the article.
