tmdb prefers to group all episodes for anime shows in on season, but there are different grouping approches, that users can create.

For example for Jujutsu Kaisen

I think that behavior mainly applies to anime, not TV shows in general. For some anime, it does split into multiple seasons, but for the majority of them, all episodes appear in a single season, which indeed is not very handy.

Yeah true, but for other shows user could create groups like, what are only the necessary story line episodes and what are fillers
