I think we're avoiding mentioning "payments" as they suggest "in exchange of something"?

I think there needs to be a larger discussion post-Summit. If you look beyond the "Web Monetization extension" docs, the word "payment" is used extensively throughout the current and new (unpublished) docs, as well as the specification and in the name of Open Payments. I don't think "transaction" is necessarily a good catch-all because a transaction can involve sending and/or receiving.
