You can change the default style of the map by editing the default CSS stylesheet (located at style/style.css) or by specifying a new stylesheet with the option --css-path.
The CSS classes used by the maps are shown below.

.comune: used for the background color and the boundaries of the comuni inside the province of interest. -
.comune.interest: when choosing to highlight a particular comune, this style will be used. -
.province: used for the background color and the external boundaries of the other provinces of the same region. -
.region: style of the bordering regions. -
.foreign: style of the bordering foreign countries. -
.lake: style of the lakes.
Moreover, you can:
- choose the color of the sea with the
background-colorproperty of thesvgelement; - control the behavior of the elements when the mouse hovers over them by the
path:hoverand.lakes:hoverselectors.
