Ugh. I thought this issue was resolved. Thanks @edhartnett I'll go poke it with a stick and see if I can break up the logjam. |

Turns out this issue was caused by documentation problems. I added some tests while checking this issue out, they test get/set var cache from F77 and F90 APIs, with and without using nc_get/set_var_cache_ints().
