User Need
To work with Mermaid diagrams and LaTeX equations using the same interaction patterns as existing code blocks, so that editing, navigating, and collaborating in documents feels familiar and predictable.
Goal(s)
- Mermaid and LaTeX content follows the same core interaction expectations as existing code blocks
- Users do not need to learn new behaviors to edit or navigate these blocks
- Documents with mixed content feel coherent rather than fragmented
