JET 1.12 tests are failing

I realised they're failing with SamplingContext stuff, so it may be that some of the existing PRs will fix this (or maybe just paper over the cracks, not sure).

I'll try to do this tomorrow, it smells like not actually a DPPL issue but need to dig into it
