Summary
Customer Effort Signal labels conversations where customers must send multiple follow-up messages before resolution. It provides a simple, deterministic indicator of how much effort a customer had to expend to get help.

How it works

Triggered when a conversation is resolved
Counts total customer messages and total agent messages
Calculates an effort band based on message volume
Outputs one label: Low, Medium, or High

Intercom Integration

Operates on Intercom conversation metadata only
Uses message counts, not sentiment or satisfaction signals
Runs fully in demo mode without credentials
