Vowel signs with Kannada letter LLA

The vowel sign to the right of the Kannada letter LLA is not connected to the letter. In the following image, the first row is in Tiro Kannada, whereas the second row is in Noto Serif Kannada:

That was by design, to maintain the rhythm of internal spacing.

I’ve considered revising it, but it is difficult to get the three shapes with ೂ to look good without also reducing the space between the consonant and the vowel sign, which I can’t do without affecting text reflow in existing documents.
