Not working for me

Hi! I have tried to install the highlighting for vim (and nvim), but without success.

I have copied the files as explained:

And I have opened the example.txt with vim, but there is no highlighting at all.

OS: macOS 11.3, vim 8.2.2029 (same with NVIM v0.4.4)

Thanks for reporting. I don't have access to macOS but I'll check whether there are any problems with the instructions or the file itself on macOS or in general.

The instructions and files seem fine. But from your comment it looks like the second abp.vom file isn't inside the .vim/syntax/ directory so could that be the problem you're experiencing?

For comparison, here's how it looks like for me after copying the files over:

I just updated the snipped I shared. I forgot to mark it as code field. The abp.vim file is inside the syntax directory.

I see, thanks for clarifying. And just to make sure, you did enable syntax highlighting in vim as well?

Okay then I am really sorry I am not using vim very often actually.
I could actually highlight the example.txt when having syntax highlighting turned on.

But still I have some problem to get it running in general. While example.txt works I have a file name adblock.abp that still does not get highlighted in the right way:
