Full-stack developer working mostly in JavaScript, React, and Next.js, with a background in Java and modernizing large, messy systems into something actually maintainable.
I like building fast, accessible web apps, but just as much I like figuring out how things break, where systems get clunky, and how to make them better. A lot of my work has been taking legacy codebases and dragging them into something more modern without breaking everything in the process.
I also lean pretty hard into the community side - I organize the Next.js ATX meetup, mentor developers, and generally enjoy breaking down complex ideas into something people can actually use.
I pick up new tools quickly, move comfortably between front-end and back-end, and tend to leave both the codebase and the team in a better spot than I found them.
With over five years of experience leading process improvement projects, I’m committed to continuous refinement and firmly believe in leaving every system better than I found it.
