Not updating Desktop File to new location after secondary root based installation prompt

Describe the bug

Installing a root accessing Appimage (e.g. Raspberry Pi Flasher Tool) a second time does not update its Desktop file entry in KDE

First Run installed to my User Folder /Applications

Second run from desktop menu prompts me to install again after asking for root
It changes the location to /root/Applications but doesnt update the Desktop File Entry which still points to the old one.

Expected behavior

Make it delete and redo the entry when it detects that an entry exists in another registered location as my user folder / Applications

Steps to reproduce the issue

run appimage normally -> install

run from desktop menu -> asks for root password -> install prompts again -> install

desktop menu entry is now pointing to the old location where we prev run it from

XD all my systems are CachyOS but behaviour stays the same, could be something regarding it changing the owner to root maybe?
Closest fact I get is if it decides to put the appimage file in /root/Applications it doesn't create/update the corresponding desktop file

You can reproduce it with the raspberry pi flasher. It will ask you for root access after launch which triggers another prompt by your software.

I have used that software occasionally myself (I think I even advised them while making their AppImage), and I've never experienced that before. But I will check that.

That said, did you build the software yourself? Have you tried the upstream packaging or where is that coming from? AUR?

The non git AUR package you mention in the readme. installed via yay.

the first of those integrations puts it into ~/Applications/ and the second run after going through the Authorization Procedure of the FlasherTool it puts it into /root/Applications but doesnt update the desktop config (removing the entry basically, the desktop file persists though invalid)
