Share a video from one newpipe in one device to another

Feature description

Everyone in my family use Newpipe in their android phones, and I recently bought an Android TV and I use newpipe on it too!

I noticed that there is already a request for function similar to chromecast ( #668 , #351 ), and also a request for button to stream to TV ( #5060 )

I don't anything anout technology, but I feel it might be more complicated to stream to youtube app, than to make the new pipe play the same video on another device.

I used to share the video URL from newpipe to kore which then plays on Kodi using a youtube addon.

Now, newpipe can already play a video if a youtube URL is shared to it from any other app.

So if it is possible to somehow send the URL from one device in the network to another, using something like kore, it might be great.

Why do you want this feature?

This would enable us to seemlessly watch a video from phone and then play the same on TV.

If this is a possibility, it would reduce the need for requirement to replicate the chromecast functionality.

Thank you for the issue.

However I think this shouldn't get implemented into the app.

• would add a lot of additional code to maintain
• has to be implemented very safely
• what if people don't want to receive content from another person
• doesn't really fit the functionality of the app (this is not some kind of chat app)
