A Scoop bucket for the Talkdedsec tools. Windows, no installer, no
admin rights, and scoop update keeps them current.
scoop bucket add tlk https://github.com/Talkdedsec/scoop-tlk| App | What it does | Licence |
|---|---|---|
wymcmd |
Explains why a console window opened — which scheduled task, service, registry key or click started it, reconstructed from what Windows already recorded. | Source-available, free to use |
tlk-visual |
Real-time screen colour engine — brightness, contrast, gamma, temperature and night vision written straight to the display gamma ramp. No driver, no injection. | GPL-3.0-or-later |
tlk-tune |
Terminal music player — album art, synced lyrics and a ten-band equaliser in the console, driven by mouse or keyboard. One executable, no ffmpeg. | MIT |
wsmf |
Names the application that stole your keyboard focus and stops it doing it again. Tray program, no keyboard hook. | MIT |
tlk-pdf |
PDF editor that runs on your device — text, signatures, form filling, highlights, white-out, merge, split, reorder and rotate pages. Also in the browser. | MIT |
scoop install tlk/wymcmd
scoop install tlk/tlk-visual
scoop install tlk/tlk-tune
scoop install tlk/wsmf
scoop install tlk/tlk-pdfwymcmd ships x64 and arm64 builds and Scoop picks the right one. The rest are x64 only.
tlk-tune installs under two names, tlk-tune and tune. tlk-pdf adds a Start menu entry and a tlk-pdf command that opens a file: tlk-pdf form.pdf.
From the next release of each tool onwards, builds carry a GitHub attestation, so the binary Scoop downloaded can be traced back to the workflow run that produced it:
gh attestation verify (scoop prefix wymcmd | Join-Path -ChildPath wymcmd.exe) --owner TalkdedsecThat is stronger than the checksum Scoop already verified — a checksum proves the file was not altered in transit, an attestation proves which commit and workflow built it.
excavator runs daily, notices a new release upstream, updates the manifest and commits it.
Nothing here is updated by hand unless the shape of a release changes.
A bug in a tool belongs in that tool's repository — the links are in the table above. Open
an issue here only when the packaging is what is wrong: a manifest that installs the wrong
architecture, a shim that does not appear on PATH, a hash that no longer matches.
The manifests here are MIT. They only describe how to install software published elsewhere — each application carries its own licence, linked from its manifest and from the table above.
