Two Questions:

1. Why this Ceph bashing? Ceph has some really really nice use cases and in this use cases I'd ever prefer ceph before something else. Just because it's (in my eyes) easy to handle, predictable and endless scaleable.

2. You pull data out from proxmox to populate Netbox.. Your "SoT". Shouldn't it be the other way around? Create a VM in Netbox and run an Ansible Playbook to deploy this VM on proxmox. Much easier and SoT is valid.

1. I've actually run a real, large set of multi petabyte clusters and I can confirm to you that it is hot steaming garbage

2. You can choose any method you like, my focus is on documenting what actually exists. It is perfectly valid if you wanted to go the other way with it as long as you have ways to fill in answers configurations that netbox does not track or has fields for.
