Request: Support .NET 8

What

I would love to see this library multi-target frameworks to include .NET 8.

Why

.NET 8 is the current LTS version of the framework and will be supported beyond when .NET 9 goes out of support: https://dotnet.microsoft.com/en-us/platform/support/policy/dotnet-core#lifecycle

Many folks tend to decide to stick with LTS versions of the framework rather than STS, and currently can't use this library because it doesn't support .NET 8.

Sorry for creating my own PR, but I needed to adjust CI because it was failing.

So, since the issue seems to be fixed then I'm closing this and I will publish nuget soon.

If there are still some issues related to it, then feel free to open.

That's probably my bad - I forgot that you need to manually enable CI on forks so it hadn't run on push to my fork of this repository. I've enabled it on my fork, so if / when I open another PR here I should be able to see any errors ahead of time before requesting review.
