Speed is drasically lower compared to firefox download

So I tried downloading this file https://ash-speed.hetzner.com/100MB.bin
Waterfox (FF variant) 9 MB/s then 6.5 MB/s
Surge 2.4 MB/s on 1st run, 4 MB/s on 2nd run

then I tried different file https://fsn1-speed.hetzner.com/100MB.bin
Waterfox 12 MB/s (average: 13 > 12 >11)
Surge 3-4 MB/s then for few seconds then 2 MB/s constant and fading away with 1 MB/s

now waterfox might be starting some chucks beforehand when clicking on link and save file pop up so I promptly clicked it without any delay to avoid bias, I know very much different softwares compared but still
