Summary

• port the official MathJax rich-text plugin from [ZAMB-257] Add MathJax rich-text support #559 to Stacks Editor v1
• preserve inline and display delimiters across Markdown and Rich Text modes
• support live typing, Markdown paste, escaped dollars, and code spans
• delegate typesetting and cleanup to host-provided callbacks

Context

This is the main/v1 counterpart to #559, following the two-branch release process. The StackOverflow integration will be submitted separately after the editor API is reviewed.

Validation

• MathJax tests passed on v1, and the complete unit run passed 52/53 suites (1,135 tests); the remaining existing CI test assumes LF line endings and fails locally on Windows when reading CODEOWNERS
• npm run lint — passed with two unrelated existing test warnings
• npm run test:package — Webpack and TypeScript passed; the package harness then hit its existing Windows spawnSync npm ENOENT incompatibility
• changeset validated as 1.1.0 → 1.2.0
• the equivalent v0 package was manually verified on stackenterprise.local with MathJax 3.2.2
