Overview

Server List Explorer offers a comprehensive suite of features to manage and customize your Minecraft server list with ease and efficiency. Below is a detailed list of functionalities available in the application.

Automatic Server File Detection

  • Default Path: Automatically detects the server file located at %appdata%/.minecraft/server.dat.

Customizable Server File Location

  • Change Location: Easily customize the server file location via a dedicated button.

Server List Management

  • Wipe Server List: Quickly wipe the entire server list with a single button press.
  • Refresh Server Icons: Refresh all server icons one by one using a convenient button.
  • Reload Server File: Reload the current server file at any time with a dedicated button.
  • Save Data: Forcefully save the current data held by the application to the server file via a button.
  • Search Server Entries: Locate specific server entries with a real-time search bar that filters results by server name.

Server File Backup

  • Automatic Backup: Automatically saves a snapshot of your server.dat file before any modifications are made to the active instance of the file.
  • Asynchronous Operation: All backup processes are performed asynchronously to avoid disrupting your workflow.
  • Backup List Sorting: Manage your backup list with sorting options by newest, oldest, largest size, or smallest size. By default, backups are sorted by newest.
  • Accessible UI: Simple and user-friendly interface for viewing and managing your backups.
  • One-Click Wipe: A button to completely wipe all backups if necessary.

Create Server Entry

  • New Entry: Create a new server entry by entering the name, address, and a custom server icon.

Home Screen Features

  • Server File Location Display: Displays the current server file location on the home screen. Includes a context menu and supports shortcuts on hover.
  • Dynamic Server Count: Displays the server count, dynamically updated in real-time.

Server List

  • Context Menu Actions:
    • Rename server entry
    • Modify server address
    • Change server icon
    • Copy entry in TOML format
    • Copy name, address, and icon (as image or base64)
    • Erase server icon
    • Delete server entry
  • Hover Actions: Copy server icon on hover.
  • Selectable Text: Server names and addresses are selectable and support context menus and shortcuts.
  • Entry Controls: Buttons to delete, move up, and move down the entry are available on hover.

Compact Server Information View

  • Selectable Text: Server names and addresses are selectable, supporting context menus and shortcuts, with change buttons next to each.
  • Erase Icon Button: Easily erase the server icon.
  • Copy Icon: Copy the server icon as an image or base64 value.
  • Move Server Entry: This feature is not yet available.
  • Online Server Information:
    • Refresh button to update online information.
    • Refresh entry icon.
    • Ping display.
    • Server version tooltip on hover.
    • Player count display.
    • MOTD (Message of the Day) display.
      • Toggle color formatting and copy the MOTD text.
    • Classic View: This feature is not yet available and will show server details in a dialog.

Settings Screen

  • Easy Navigation: An easy-to-navigate settings screen.
  • Comprehensive Wiki: A wiki page dedicated specifically to settings will be available soon.
  • Customization: Change settings such as Render API, scrollbar side, and more.
  • Theme Customization: Customize the theme, including text color and other elements.
