Improve `UnsignedToSignedRecording` with view

On #1707 @samuelgarcia mentioned that this implementation could be improved by using view.

I am opening an issue here so we can keep our finger on this. @samuelgarcia when you have time can you outline how that would work like?

I don't think we'll ever get to this. Many other preprocessors could also be views, but that would break the current implementation. Closing this for now. @samuelgarcia feel free to reopen
