I used the bank's link property to reference the weapon's UID. When the weapon was deleted, saving the game triggered a GC error: "bad link to XXX," and the bank was deleted outright.

I used another item to link to an equipment. When that equipment was deleted, the GC still threw an error during saving and deleted the item. I’d like to ask: is this intended behavior or a bug?

Normal behaviour, so you wont have misslinked items. You can use other properties to reference uids (tag for example).
