How to check? Use browser network logger and see how many times *.rq files are loaded.

After correction, main queries now are only executed once.

In development mode however, auxiliary queries (those to fetch the options for variables in templated queries) are still executed twice, because these are triggered from an effect. Effects are triggered twice in react strict mode, used on purpose here in development mode.
