Solaris is a student rocketry project at the University of Vigo, focused on designing, building, and flying experimental rockets. This organization is where we develop the software that runs on our avionics hardware - built under real constraints: reliability, traceability, and validation on real boards. |

- Build the flight software stack for the electronics subsystem
- Maintain shared protocols and interfaces for subsystem communication (SPP)
- Write drivers + HAL for sensors and buses (SPI / I2C / UART)
- Support platform ports, dev tooling and workflows (ESP-IDF, CI, debugging)
- Good first issues: small improvements, refactors, docs, testing helpers
- Drivers / HAL: sensors, buses, board bring-up
- Protocol / telemetry: packet formats, logging, reliability features
- Tooling: scripts, CI, build automation, devcontainers
- Keep changes focused and testable
- Prefer clean modular code over fast hacks
- Test on real hardware when it matters
- Use PRs for review and decisions
