Why can multiple lines not share a single point?

Why can lines not touch? ie why can 2 lines not share one point?

Multiple line labels can share a single point.

Basically if you create one line, then you make a separate other line that happens to have an end point that is a shared point of an existing line, it defaults to the "mover" and tries to shift the shared point around when you try to click to place it, rather than letting you place the end point on that shared point

I'm not sure if I'm missing something, and line labels sharing a point doesn't make sense to do. Would appreciate any explanation anyone can offer. Great work on this project btw!
