I was invited to make or import code.org's site - https://code.org on a NextJS app. I tried a number of times and managed to get the clone the code from https://github.com/code-dot-org/code-dot-org. It was 2GB by the time it managed to download and inside it was like nested projects doing different things and the setup alone was no easy task. I gave up trying to run it as much as most of them were react projects.
After wasting time there for days I decided to try to learn from blockly and a few sample apps on github. I managed to do this based on what I saw on that side. It’s not much and I feel like exhausted even to have gotten here. I hope the client finds someone to accomplish the task though to me it feels like a team task.
This is what I was trying to produce This is what I managed to produceThis is a Next.js project bootstrapped with create-next-app.
First, run the development server:
npm run dev
# or
yarn dev
# or
pnpm dev
# or
bun devOpen http://localhost:3000 with your browser to see the result.
You can start editing the page by modifying app/page.tsx. The page auto-updates as you edit the file.
This project uses next/font to automatically optimize and load Geist, a new font family for Vercel.
