Similar to/alternate solution to #8.
Based on some attribute (privacy settings, journal folder name or something) exclude journal entries from being linked to or linked from.
Most notably Forien's Quest Log.

Was able to open this by navigating via the "linked from" link. Note the exposed GM Notes.

Additional use case: I have handouts that I haven't yet shown to to players. I have visibility on that handout set to None for the players, but I link to journal entries they already have visibility to.
In the journal entries they have visibility to, it links to the journal entry they can't see, including the title of the journal entry. I want the title to be secret.

I think this is also similar to #6 - I'm going to close this as a duplicate.
