In order to run the local development server, you need to create a MySQL user with the following credentials:

mysql -u root -e "FLUSH PRIVILEGES"The mysql user is needed, so that the application can communicate with the database. If you choose to use another database system, you need to adjust the .env file accordingly. If you do so, please make sure to add the .env file to your local .gitignore, so that it does not get pushed to the repository.
We need to install NVM and NPM to run the frontend build process. Follow these steps to install NVM and NPM:
brew install nvm
source $(brew --prefix nvm)/nvm.sh
nvm install 20
nvm use 20
