  • 👋 I am a Senior Lecturer in Political Science (Research Methods) at the University of Melbourne. Check out my website for more information).

  • 🔭 My research interests are the study of democracy, authoritarianism, political communication, AI, and computational methods.

  • 💬 I maintain public git repositories which provide data (applications) on democracy (the vdemdata R package), democratization and autocratization episodes (the ERT R package). I am co-developing the quallmer R package for easy and quick but deep and large-scale qualitative analysis with LLMs.

  • 🌱 I also use git for code, data and information exchange in several other collaborative projects.

  • 🤔 I wish git would allow for a ✨simultaneous✨, collaborative editing of .qmd files!
