Breaks page styling in Firefox

Something I've noticed is that when I start SelfControl, some sites (Google, for example) look messed up and are missing images, CSS styling, etc. I figured that this was due to IPs being shared, but I just tried Safari and Chrome, and this issue is non existent in either.

I've found that restarting firefox fixes this. Probably something with the cache?

I have to say that I have the same problem, for Chrome, Safari and FF4. It shows up on apple.com webpage, and also affects software update, although I don't have any apple related site in my blacklist.

The same here. And it stays broken after SelfControl stops blocking, or is switched off. Kinda painful to restart FF everytime after using SC..

I've found I can fix the issue by shift reloading (command+shift+r) which tells me that something is being done in the cache that is messing things up.

I've had this issue several times, although I'll say that it is not generally related to SelfControl for me: sometimes this just happens in one browser or the other and will stay for a few days. But since it's happening on SelfControl so frequently, it might have to do with the way we clear the cache. I'll look into it.

I have this issue on sites like tumblr, twitter, etc. when they become unblocked, except restarting FF doesn't work. I have to restart my whole computer. As well, since the newest update, It occurs on those sites, even when they are not on the block list.

Hello, just wanted to add my experience with this bug:
This also happens to my firefox, however it only happens on Mountain Lion. I know that on Snow Leopard, it did not happen, with the same versions of SelfControl and Firefox (I only upgraded from Snow Leopard to Mountain Lion a few months ago).

Every time when I start SelfControl, Firefox will start displaying some sites in a very broken way, by not loading CSS, or JavaScript or something. There is no clear pattern, but some sites will always be affected.

However, when this happens, I just need to do a complete refresh of the site in Firefox, by pressing Shift+Cmd+R.
Then the site will be fine again, until SelfControl removes the blocks. Then will need to Shift+Cmd+R some sites again.

For me its not a big deal, and to be honest, I think it probably is the fault of Firefox and not SelfControl, because other browsers like Chrome and Safari are not affected.

I get this problem too, I have the Clear Cache Button installed for web development, and this is an quick way to fix the issue when it occurs
