Part 1: License for Original Design by Scott Bezek

The portions of the SmartKnob DevKit Hardware design marked as "Original" by Scott Bezek are licensed under the Apache License, Version 2.0. You may not use these files except in compliance with the License. You may obtain a copy of the License at:

Unless required by applicable law or agreed to in writing, software distributed under the License is distributed on an "AS IS" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OR CONDITIONS OF ANY KIND, either express or implied. See the License for the specific language governing permissions and limitations under the License.

Part 2: Seedlabs License for Additional and Modified Components

For any parts of the SmartKnob DevKit Hardware not designated as "Original" by Scott Bezek, and for all modifications and further developments of the SmartKnob DevKit Hardware, the following terms apply:

1. License Grant: Seedlabs grants you a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, no-charge, royalty-free, irrevocable license to use, reproduce, modify, publicly display, publicly perform, sublicense, and distribute the non-original components of the SmartKnob DevKit Hardware and any derivative works thereof in any medium, provided that such activities are compliant with the terms of this Seedlabs License.

2. Commercial Use: Any commercial use of the SmartKnob DevKit Hardware or any derivative works requires obtaining a separate license. Requests for commercial licenses should be directed to info@seedlabs.it.

3. ShareAlike Requirement: All modifications or additions to the SmartKnob DevKit Hardware, and all derivative works thereof, must be made available under the same terms as this Seedlabs License. Every modified file must carry prominent notices stating that you changed the files, and you must retain all copyright, patent, trademark, and attribution notices from the original and modified parts, excluding those notices that do not pertain to the derivative works.

4. Contribution and Use Rights: By making a contribution to the SmartKnob DevKit Hardware project, including modifications and additions, you agree that your contributions are licensed under this Seedlabs License. Seedlabs and its affiliates have the right to use such contributions for commercial purposes.

5. Disclaimer of Warranty: This License provides the licensed work "as is" without warranty of any kind, either expressed or implied, including, but not limited to, the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

6. Limitation of Liability: In no event shall Seedlabs or contributors be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, or consequential damages (including, but not limited to, procurement of substitute goods or services; loss of use, data, or profits; or business interruption) however caused and on any theory of liability, whether in contract, strict liability, or tort (including negligence or otherwise) arising in any way out of the use of this hardware, even if advised of the possibility of such damage.
