PassSec+ is an extension of the original PassSec add-on. The functionality of the Firefox-desktop add-on is explained in more detail on the website.
- Protection of passwords, bank details and other sensitive data
The extension is available here (search for 'PassSec+'):

We have adapted the functionality/logic and the user interfaces of PassSec+ to be inline with those of TORPEDO. This is part of our activities in the Helmholtz topic Engineering Secure Systems. Since we no longer classify an Extended Validation Certificate as low risk (analogous to the decision of the web browser), this means that some pages (especially from banks) are no longer included directly as low risk, but as unknown risk.

The extension was developed in the context of the InUse project which was funded by the Federal Ministry of Justice and Consumer Protection and the Bundesanstalt Food and Agriculture. Besides of the InUse-team a number of students from the Technical University of Darmstadt were involved: Kristoffer Braun, Kevin Kelpen, Joshua Ruf, Richard Stein, Hubert Strauß, Gildas Nya Tchabe und Simon Weiler.
PassSec+ is licensed under the GPLv3.
