@jess-shue , could we add a lean direction (compass bearing) for trees in the mortality census (>10cm) with lean angle >15degrees? This is a variable that Dan wants to add to the mortality census (for all sites).

@teixeirak That should be do-able. I'm working very hard to fix the recruits layer right now. Do you have a thought on when they will start collecting mortality? Also, what about training? We did not go through that protocol thoroughly while I was there...(hence why I asked if Dan's group was swinging through).

There are few stems with that much lean, so it's not an urgent fix.

Training for & starting the mortality census is another issue. I'll open one.

@teixeirak The lean direction will be recorded in degrees correct? Or, will it be N, NE, E, SE, S etc.? I need to know the data type to add this field.
