Task

Walk /fork-sync onto v0.0.38-nightly.20260901.1250 (692eb1a), treating this head as live; orient knowing nothing newer.

Window pressure β€” upstream commits touching fork seam files (heuristic from vp run fork:rebase-report, shared base 86c9a92):

Done when the walk lands: fork stack replayed on this head, checks green, slice record written. Closed not planned if an earlier slice leaves this head clean fast-forward β€” the bot lane carries it then.

Origin: slice ladder enumerated under #397 from the regenerated rebase report.

Relationships: parent #397; blocked by #410; blocking #412.
Priority position: after #410.

Not planned. This slice is subsumed by the single walk to the newest offered tag under #397.

The ladder existed to gather data. Walking nightly by nightly simulated sitting close to upstream, so the churn ledger had real conflict material to shape itself against rather than a schema guessed in advance. Slices 3–10 supplied that on 2026-09-02 and 2026-09-03, and the seams they exposed are filed as actions under #443. Climbing the remaining tags one at a time would add walk count, not information.

The tag this slice named is still carried. It is carried by the newest-tag walk rather than by its own issue.
