This release brings some exciting major CPU and memory performance updates. This update will make all systems faster and especially release pressure on very low-end systems with limited CPU and memory. 💪

To achieve this, we forked and tweaked our own WebSocket library, which we will use from now on. This move took a lot of effort, but it also relieves us from library compatibility issues with OctoPrint packages!

Hey Astronauts!

Today, we have some nice notification features for you!

  • New Notification: Bed Cooldown Complete - This is a widely requested notification for those who want to wait for the bed to cool before grabbing the printed parts. Be sure to enable the notification type in your notification settings!
  • LAN Webhooks - For all the developers out there, you can now set up a webhook that requests from the OctoEverywhere plugin on your local LAN. This means you no longer need to have an endpoint publicly exposed to the internet. Checkout this page for the full webhook request details.
  • Bambu Lab Status & Docker Fixes - This release adds more Bambu Lab printer status messages and fixes a webcam streaming issue with the docker container.
  • More Bug Fixes - There are also a few random bug fixes to make the plugin work even better!

Hello Makers!

Today, we are excited to share that we have made our 3D printing remote access up to 60% faster AND compress 40-300% more efficiently with Zstandard compression! It's quite impressive; check out our blog post for the nerdy details.

For everyone else, all you need to know is that when you update to this new version, 3.4.0, you will be using zstandard compression, making your remote access snappier, Live Links faster, and Quick View.... quicker!

OctoEverywhere is 100% community funded. Your support allows us to continue pushing the envelope and building the best 3D printing cloud community platform possible. We sincerely appreciate everyone who’s part of our community, gives us support, and sends feedback!

That's not all, here's a full feature breakdown for this release:

  • Bambu Connect works with the X1, P1, and A1 lines of Bamb Lab 3D printers to empower them with the full feature set of OctoEverywhere. Instant remote access with Quick View, advanced AI print failure detection with Gadget, notifications to 8+ endpoints, and more. To see the full list of what makes OctoEverywhere special for Bambu Lab 3D printers, check out our Bambu launch page.
