Determine why test suite fails on older simulators

Running tests on iPhone 5s and iPad Air simulators work, but other ones seem to fail. See this issue where it has surfaced for context.

This might be a bug to report to Apple.

Xcode 6 Beta 5 seems to have fixed this issue for older sims. Closing.
